What Is Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)?
The Corporate Affairs Commission is a regulatory body, established to regulate the incorporation, running and winding up of companies, business names and incorporated trustees, in accordance with CAMA.
To establish and maintain companies’ registry and offices in all the states of the Federation suitably and adequately equipped to discharge its functions under the Act or any law in respect of which it is charged with the responsibility.
The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria was established in 1990 vide Companies and Allied Matters Act no 1 (CAMA) 1990 as amended, now on Act cap C20 Laws of Federation of Nigeria.
How Much Is CAC Registration In Nigeria?
According to the CAC’s fees list, the statutory fee for registration of charges is N25,000 or 0.35 per cent of the amount secured by the charge, whichever is higher, for both private and public firms. Private firms are charged N5,000 as annual returns while public companies are pay N10,000.
