Nigerian Bar Association Demands Investigation into Bobrisky Bribery Allegations
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has called for a comprehensive investigation into the serious allegations of bribery involving Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, and some officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In a statement released on Wednesday, NBA President Mazi Afam Osigwe (SAN) emphasized the need for an independent inquiry, urging the EFCC to:
- Investigate allegations of ₦15 million bribe paid by Bobrisky to serve his prison sentence in a private residence.
- Determine if financial inducement was made to drop money laundering charges against Bobrisky.
