Over 40% of Nigerians now enjoy 20 hours of electricity supply daily – Minister of Power

Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, has announced that over 40% of Nigerians now enjoy 20 hours of electricity supply daily. This achievement is attributed to revolutionary measures taken by the government to ensure stable and regular electricity supply. The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission removed electricity subsidies for about two million customers in Band-A, guaranteeing at least 20 hours of power supply daily. Average power generation reached 4,150 Megawatts in August, with plans to exceed 5,500 megawatts by year-end.
